Amazingly Y-O-U!

Program

Two integrated arms: dignified employment through Y-O-U! Works, and the Family Readiness Binder System with workshops that turn kits into lived readiness.

Y-O-U! Works

Y-O-U! Works is the employment arm — structured, supported production of readiness kits by disabled adults and disabled veterans. Workers are the engine of mission delivery, not token roles.

  • Intake & training through partners such as MD DORS and VA VR&E
  • Production of binders, workbooks, advocacy cards, and kit packs
  • Quality control before packaging
  • Fulfillment to FROs, chaplains, ACS/FFSC offices, and partners

Family Readiness Binder System

A practical kit suite designed with military families raising children with disabilities at the center — useful at every stage of installation life.

  • Onboarding Workbook — PCS, schools, TRICARE, financial basics
  • Advocacy Script Cards — VA, IEP, housing, hardship, caregiver support
  • PCS Readiness Kit — checklists, records, utilities, community cards
  • Deployment Kit — communication, financial POA tools, children’s readiness
  • Sensory Kit — signature disability-focused pack (IEP/EFMP/Tricare tools)

Distribution runs through Family Readiness Officers, chaplains, ACS/FFSC and AFRC offices, faith partners, and direct-to-family channels. Grant-subsidized kits aim so families are not turned away for inability to pay.

Training & workshops

Live 60–90 minute workshops transform binder contents into practice: PCS preparation, deployment financial readiness, advocacy skills, sensory needs & IEP navigation, and community resilience.

A Train-the-Trainer path equips FROs, chaplains, and ACS/FFSC staff to facilitate workshops using the binder system as curriculum.
