Amazingly Y-O-U!
Impact
The need is clear. The model is measurable. We track outcomes for families and for the workers who build the kits they receive.
The need
Military families often relocate 10 or more times across a career. For families raising children with disabilities, each PCS can mean restarting IEPs, Tricare behavioral health, therapies, and provider networks — often within 30–60 days.
At the same time, disabled adults face a far lower employment-population ratio than people without disabilities (approximately 22.7% vs 65.7% per BLS reporting cited in the plan), and disabled veterans face persistent employment barriers.
The opportunity
Amazingly Y-O-U! creates a virtuous cycle: dignified wages for disabled adults and veterans assembling readiness kits that equip military families — especially those navigating disability services across duty stations.
What we measure
Employment impact (Y-O-U! Works):
- Number of disabled adults/veterans employed
- Wages, wage progression, retention, and advancement
- Successful DORS / VA VR&E placement closures
Family readiness impact:
- Kits distributed and workshops delivered
- Readiness confidence (pre/post workshop)
- Outcomes for families raising children with disabilities (Sensory Kit / IEP advocacy tools)
- Train-the-Trainer certifications issued
Year 1 organizational targets in the plan include 6 installation MOUs, 1,500+ QC-approved kits, and diversified revenue. An Annual Impact Report is planned each July.
